|
|
|
I am a registered Gear Pro Linux user. I have ver 5.01. For some reason, the GEAR GUI is not starting anymore. It was working fine. I do not know if one of my packages that were updated caused this (I keep my system patched, RedHat 9, through fedora legacy updates)
Here is the error:
GEAR API Error
Cannot initialize GEAR Toolkit (3, 31, 0000h)
Any idea what would have cause this all of a sudden?
Is there a newer build that I can download?
Thanks,
Bruce |

Bruce,
Please email support@gearsoftware.com. I will then respond with a link to the update. |

I also sent this message to support, so it should be in the inbox.
Thanks,

Not sure why. Maybe you are having SMTP problems?

I installed the new version, and I got the same error. I am unable to use GPL anymore. Why did this happen, when it was working fine before? Is it dynamically linked to any of my system libs? Can you produce a fully static version?
Thanks,
Bruce
PS: I emailed this to you, Matt, but I am not sure if you got it. |

I am also unable to use the CLI version. It looks like it is going to start, then it dies, and goes back to the CL.
