DVD burner will not "Unlock"

I have burned several DVD's using my recently purchased Gear Pro Mastering 7 software. Everything moves along fine until the the burning is complete. The burned DVD ejects but the software still has the burner "locked" I cannot cancel this or shut down the program while this issue exists.. I downloaded the new drivers but that did not help, the burner, Pioneer DVR-109, still won't unlock after the DVD has been burned. I only way have to end the program is using the Task Manager.

I don't know if it's the burner of GEAR 7. My 109 firmware is 1.40.

Odd - works fine here.
Have you tried the brand new firmware version 1.50?

I didn't know 1.50 was out, thanks Neil. I'll reflash the burner with the updated firmware and next time I need to burn a Dual Layer DVD I'll see if the issue is corrected. I thought it may be the Pioneer 109 rather than the GEAR software.

By the way, it was your comments on the Adobe Encore forum that convinced me to use GEAR for the DL and DLT burns.

Hope the firmware sorts it.
There are definite improvements in DL burning according to Pioneer.
Personally, I'm hanging out for the any day now DVD-R DL discs.
Which are also gonna need a firmware update even though the DVR-109 is -R DL ready.

Neil, I'm sorry for getting back so late. The 1.50 firmware update worked and Gear Pro Mastering now shows the burner is unlocked when the burn is done.

It's now up to 1.57

Stable here.

Re flashed to 1.57 firmware in my DVR 109 and all is still stable with it and GEAR here too.
