| I have a small hard disk (6GB), and it used to have 490MB free, but after I tried Gear 7.0, and found out that my CD burner doesn't work, it only has 190MB free. I deleted the project, and uninstalled Gear, but I can't figure out how to get back that 300MB. How do I find whatever Gear put on my disk and remove it? I'd hate to have to reinstall Windows, because I have dial-up and it takes 2 days to download all those updates. |

gayurkon,
Did you go through Window's Add/Remove Program menu? That program will indicate the amount of space freed with the removal of GEAR. Look for the folder C:\Program Files\GEAR Softeware and the "My GEAR Projects" folder under the "My Documents" directory. Additional, to ensure the removal of GEAR's driver, you can run the following:
ftp://downloads.gearsoftware.com/updates/windows/drivers/Driver_Remover.exe |

| I did Add/Remove Programs, I deleted the folders you named, I used the Windows Search program to delete all files with "gear" in their titles, I ran the driver removal program you suggested, and I'm still short more than 200MB of disk space. Are there any temporary files which get created durning the burning process? |

gayurkon,
All temporary files would be stored in the "My GEAR Projects" directory. |
