Create image from disc

Is there a way to create an image from a disc? I need to be able to insert a disc into a drive and rip an image for storage. If so, what formats can I use?

Copy disc will do the job.
Make sure that you copy it to HDD.

Are we talking CD or DVD?

You will need to open a project of CD or DVD type, drag the contents of the source disc to the project window, and then select Project | Convert Volume to Physical. GEAR will create a file either <project name>.p01.md1 for CD's or <project name>.p01.dv1 for DVD's. These can be renamed with the .iso extension.

Unless of course it has Copy Protection all over it, presumably.
