Gear DVD Standard Edition encountered a problem and needs to close.
I received the above error message after a DVD video was finished reading.
After I chose to "Not Send the Error Report to Microsoft", the appplication closed and I had another message: Format D: - Write Once Media is not supported by this version of DLA.
Please explain what is happening here....
This computer is a Toshiba Laptop running Windows XP.
Thanks. |

DLA stands for Drive Letter Access, which is not a part of GEAR DVD. Do you have another burning program installed on your system? If so, you may need to disable the drive letter access portion of the program.
Drive Letter Access software attempts to let you use an eraseable (RW) disc as you would a floppy disk or a removable hard disk. DLA software runs constantly, and attempts to detect the insertion of an eraseable disk. It can interfere with GEAR or other burning programs. One of the most common DLA programs is another burning application's DirectCD. |
