When creating a DDP Image from a CD, the letters in the ISRC-code changes. The same thing happens when running Disc information.
As an example, an ISRC that originally look like this NOAJR0X000XX, gets changed to CiYJF0X000XX.
The changes are applied to the actual DDP-image as well, as the pressing plant found a missmatch between the files and the metadata.
Could this be because my drive reads the ISRCs incorrectly?
My drive is a PLDS DVD+RW DU-8A2S, and i'm running Vista 64. |

| This is a problem with several CD/DVD burners with the Samsung units topping the ISRC problem list. Most of them actually writes the ISRC correctly but reads them incorrectly. I still use my old Plexwriter Premium for all CD Masters and would generally recommend that you use a CD reader instead of a DVD reader for all CD Masters as they will generally work better and especially with older versions of GEAR. Many DVD readers do not work as they will not read SUBC96 with GEAR 7. |
