|
|
|
I have here a DDPid file v1.0 made on a sadie workstation. This DDP image refers to a image.DAT file. Gear pro is able to read those files but then this error occurs:
ERROR: Track 12 error (image file c:\mcd1\IMAGE.DAT, Offset 693202608 bytes, track size 79688112 bytes):
;Track size and image offset do not match with actual file length (772537920 bytes).
;Log file closed at 2008 10 03 12:11
Any idea of a solution?
Best Regards |

'How' are you trying to burn the DDP?
Are you using the GEAR Command: | Code: | | WRITECD -DDP <path_to_DDP_folder> |
or...
Are you using File > Open Physical Image | Browse to IMAGE.DAT and select DA?
or...
...or...
? |

693202608 - offset to track 12
+ 79688112 - length of track 12
–––––––––––
772890720
...and...
772537920 - actual file length
- 772890720 - end of track 12
–––––––––––
- 352800
Now...
-352800 ÷ 2352 = -150
-150 / 75 (fps) = 2 seconds.
I suspect your IMAGE.DAT file is only the CD-DA, and the default 2 second pause is not included in the IMAGE.DAT file.
Can you send the DDPID & DDPMS files to support@gearsoftware.com? |

Hi!
What was the outcome of the analysis? I am asking since I have received a DDP file, generated from Sadie - and when trying it in the Trial version of Gear Pro Mastering Edition I get the exact same issue as the initial poster. |

Have you tried this with GEAR PRO Mastering Edition 8?
I believe the analysis was we were expecting the 2 sec pause to be including in the DDP image file, and I believe the image in question did not...
...and in the 7.03 release we weren't anticipating DDP images created by other software. |

I'm using Gear Pro Mastering Edition 8 and receive the same error - the ddp folder was supplied by a mastering house and this image has been approved by the pressing plant (its an audio disc). But when I try and burn the image, the error received is:
..\image.dat, Offset 716849616 bytes, track size 48011376 bytes): Track size and image offset do not match with actual file length (764508192 bytes).
The MD5 checksum provided with the ddp folder also verifies the integrity of the data so no issue there.
Are there any settings that can be adjusted so that Gear Pro doesn't expect a 2 sec pause included in the ddp image file??? |

As of this time, the GEAR PRO Mastering Edition 'gui' does not have any 'toggle' for not including the pre-gap for 'burning' DDP images.
For creating DDP images using GEAR, you can 'toggle' the pre-gap to be included, or not.
If possible, please send all of the DDP files: DDPID, DDPMS, PQDESC, SUBCODES.DAT and whatever other files (except the IMAGE.DAT, TRACK##.DAT, MAIN.DAT) etc. to support@gearsoftware.com and I will look at them to see if that is indeed the case. |

Did anyone ever find a way around this, I have the same problem on Gear pro 8.
Is there a command line to change how gear expects the pre-gap when burning DDP's. Would that solve it? |
