Hello,
Some time ago I have successfully created on my hdd a ddpdir of duallayer DVD-Video disk.
(cdtoddpdir -d /path_to_parent_dir -s /path_to_my_dvd-video_dir)
Now I tried to write the ddp image to a new dvd disk
(writecd -ddp /full_path_to_my_dvd-video_dir)
I get a message that DDPID file can not be found in that directory.
The file certainly is not there. There are two subdirs: SideALayer0 and SideALayer1 and each contains: checksum.txt, control.dat, image.dat, ddvid.dat
How to burn my DVD? (using CLI)
I can successfully rip and then burn audio cds with the above commands.
I have reviewed the manual, but I can not find a solution.
Thanks for help |

You cannot record a dual-layer DDP image using the cli.
Beginning with GEAR PRO Mastering Edition 8.00, we added a 'gui' function for recording dual-layer DDP images.
If the DDP image is not padded to 2054 bytes/sector for CSS encryption, you could try combining the IMAGE.DAT files (layer0+layer1) into one large .DAT file and burn that as a large ISO image.
To set the layer-break you would need to set
SETGENPARMS DVD9Layer2SplitOffset ######
...where ###### is the ECC block number (layer-break sector divided by 16)
Have fun! |
