|
|
|
I have Gear 7.0 Pro. Everytime I write a DVD, Gear ejects the DVD and displays in the progress window "geting disk information." It will just sit there for hours if I let it. Gear will not allow me to exit because it says a process is still working, but the disk is written, Task Manager has Gear at 0%, and it shows as "running."
If I want to shut down Gear after I write a DVD, I have to 'end task' it.
Anyone know what is going on here? |

I am using Windows XP. The drive is the NEC 2100 DVD+RW. The problem occurs with any project - CD and DVD.
I have duplicated the problem and sent the log files as well as a screen grab to support. Hopefully support can figure this problem. |

sofsoldier,
I have received your log file and will post back with a reply here once I have had a chance to go over it. Thanks. |

| There seems to be some issue with with Acronis True Image and perhaps iTunes (both are on this system). With both start-up services disables, Gear runs fine. |

sofsoldier,
Make sure you have the latest official firmware for that drive.
Go to the Support page and then driver updates. Download and install the latest GEAR driver set.

Next, go to the Support page and Updates. Download the latest configuration files for your software. You should be able to right click on the file and choose save as. Point it to where you have GEAR installed at. It will override the original files that are there.
