From GEAR Software Knowledgebase
It is possible that after the GEARAspi driver set has been installed on Windows 7 via the driver installer on our website, that the Users group has been removed from the permissions list for the C:\ProgramData folder, resulting in the folder being inaccessible.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Get the properties of the C:\ProgramData folder, and go to the 'Security' tab. Press the Continue button on the tab.
- On the resulting 'Permissions for ProgramData' dialog press the Add button.
- On the resulting 'Select User or Group' dialog, type in Users in 'Enter the object name to select' and press the OK button.
- Press the Apply and OK buttons on the 'Permissions for ProgramData' dialog.
- On the 'Security' tab of the ‘Properties’ dialog, press the Advanced button.
- On the 'Advanced Security Settings for ProgramData' dialog, select the 'Permissions' tab and press the Change Permissions button.
- On the 'Advanced Security Settings for ProgramData' dialog, Press the 'Add...' button
- On the resulting 'Select User or Group' dialog, enter Users in 'Enter the object name to select' and press the OK button
- On the 'Permission Entry for ProgramData' dialog set 'Apply to:' This folder and subfolders.
Set the following permissions to Allow:

- Finished.
