Symptoms

GEAR Pro Mastering Edition 8.10 and GEAR Pro Professional Edition 8.10 do not see one or more CD/DVD drives and/or work correctly with drives on Windows Vista, 7


Cause

GEAR Pro Mastering Edition 8.10 and GEAR Pro Professional Edition 8.10 is configured on installation to default to the IMAPI/Miniport interface for CD/DVD drives. Sometimes the IMAPI/Miniport interface fails to detect and properly configure CD/DVD devices on the system.


Solution

You should be able to revert back to the GEARAspi interface as follows:
